We are using instant support from a long time. But it is shown as malicious by so many antivirus. It is becoz file winvnc.exe itself is shown as virus. I have Instantsupport.exe in my website which my customers download to connect us remotely. But when file is downloaded by using google chrome it shows that file is malicious. When i checked in webmaster tools of google it was showing that Instantsupport.exe is malicious. So now google chrome shows error as malicious for any file downloaded from my website. It is because of the Instantsupport.exe which is considered as virus by google, now shows same message for all files downloaded from my website. So i want to know what is the problem with this winvnc.exe?
Also if u scan the winvnc.exe in https://www.virustotal.com/ 8 out of 48 antivirus show it as dangerous program.

winvnc.exe is malicious??
Re: winvnc.exe is malicious??
It is not a virus, but rather can be used for nefarious purposes if so desired.
The virus engines are not detecting it as a virus (assuming the EXE itself is not infected), but rather as a suspicious file that can lead to someone remotely accessing/viewing your computer. It's an accurate albeit over-reaching conclusion (IMO).
There are legitimate and non-legitimate uses for almost any software, but VNC just seems to be used more than most for those heinous purposes.
