Alt-Tab with Windows 8.1 and 1.2.0.5

Post by jo2h2 »

Hello together,

I already checked this forum for this question but could not find the solving answer.

I am running UltraVNC successfully since years on Windows 7 and before.

Now I installed one system with Windows 8.1 and using UltraVNC 1.2.0.5 with uvnckeyboardhelper.exe and w8hook64.dll. Installed UltraVNC below c:\Program Files\UltraVNC\ with standard windows 8.1 UAC enabled. Installation was done using an Admin user and UltraVNC is running as a service.

My problem: Alt-Tab is often properly transfered to the server. The funny thing is, sometimes it does work, but then later, maybe after a user switching or a reconnect again not - so maybe with 5-10% it did work, but mostly not.

All other keys like Win-key, etc. do work proper and reliable, incl. the login, etc.

Anything I am doing wrong ? How can I solve this problem ?

Thanks a lot !!

Best wishes,
Sam ...

Hello together,

after un-installing the whole uvnc installation, re-installing it with Windows 8 default settings (UAC) and into default folders + installing the latest add ons for Win8 directly on the system with Admin rights now it works

Thanks !
