Poor Performance With Windows 7 Client Accessing an XP Srvr

Post by grammatrain »

Info:
Client System: 64bit Windows 7.
Server System: 32bit XP Pro SP3
Wireless G LAN

I was running UltraVNC from an XP Pro client which worked fine. However, when I bought a new Windows 7 machine and installed UltraVNC the performance has been horrible no matter what I try to tweak.

I reinstalled the UVNC server software on the XP server with the Vista add-ons and no change. Been searching these forums for some clue, but I don't see anything definitive on what is causing the issue.

RDP works fine with the same machines and is quite quick.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time.
