Transparent ID Number background

Post by G64 »

Hi everyone,

Really cool to find this yesterday. Have been fiddling a lot of time already. Really cool to see such stuff.

I am trying to alter the InstantSupport.au3 a little bit. The thing i am trying to accomplish is to have the ID number have a transparent background that overlays the logo.jpg in the background.

I have tried several things an googled also but i can`t get it to work. If i enter the $GUI_BKCOLOR_TRANSPARENT in the viewer au3 to the corresbonding label field it does show the underlying logo.jpg, but then i cant see the ID number itself.

Code: Select all

; Create the GUI.
$InstantSupport = GUICreate( $str_Program_Title, 450, 200, -1, -1, BitOR( $WS_SYSMENU,$WS_CAPTION,$WS_POPUP,$WS_POPUPWINDOW,$WS_BORDER,$WS_CLIPSIBLINGS,$WS_MINIMIZEBOX ) )
GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, $GUI_BKCOLOR_TRANSPARENT)
GUISetBkColor( 0xFFFFFF )
$Label2 = GUICtrlCreateLabel( $IDNumber, 0, 100, 450, 100, $SS_CENTER,$GUI_BKCOLOR_TRANSPARENT,$GUI_BKCOLOR_TRANSPARENT )
GUICtrlSetFont( -1, 50, 800, 0, "Arial Black" )
$Pic1 = GUICtrlCreatePic( $WorkingPath & "\logo.jpg", 0, 0, 450, 200, BitOR( $SS_NOTIFY,$WS_GROUP,$WS_CLIPSIBLINGS ) )
GUISetState( @SW_SHOW )
Have any other people accomplished this behaviour in the viewer? I have found Mr. Rat created a similar idea, but before i ask him directly (if that is even possible).

Thanks in advance for even reading my post.

G64,

Glad you like the project. :D

You'll find tons of info on the AutoIT forums for modifying.

Here was a quick search for "text over image":

Good luck and if you make anything awesome do share. :)

Yes i have already found some info but i am not a programmer. I do know AutoIT is "fairly" simple but couldnt get it to work. So i thought to ask and maybe someone already found something simple to achieve this :)

Many hands, make light work :)
