Windows 8 & Visual Studio

Post by abdelghani »

Hallo team,
I want to compile and build the code source for Windows 8, as I understood that I have to use Visual Studio in order to build the software. My question is which VS version I should use? Is there any document which describes steps which are needed to compile and build the code source?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards
Ghani

You just need to download the source and click on the winvncv11.sln winvnc.sln winvnc2008.sln depending if you have VS2012/2010/2008
The .sln are in ultravnc/winvnc and ultravnc\vncviewer.

For win8 you best use VS2012, this is the only one that support the new win8 functions but the exe doesn't run on xp. If you want to support xp
you need to use VS2010.
