Win 2K>Server Win XPPro>Viewer no autologon using stor

Post by JohanS »

I have a configuration with Windows 2K on the Server PC and Windows XP Pro on the Viewer PC.

The same user acounts with matching passwords are created on both the server as well as on the viewer.

When I connect using the UltraVNC Viewer and type in the username and password I get a connection.
When I now save the connection info in a file called: "server.vnc" on my desktop I should be able to start the connection without the use of the username/password.
However I get A message "VNC authentification failed!" and the viewer status window reports status: "Wrong Password" and the normal UltraVNC Viewer opens and I can connect thru that.

Has anyone any suggestion on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

UltraVNC 1.0.0 vnc authenticaiton permit to store password to filename.vnc
UltraVNC 1.0.0 ms-logon do not permit to store password to filename.vnc
is the reason you have this known limitation

viewer need a extra check for do not allow save passord if ms-logon selected.
