The "AuthHosts=" in the "ultravnc.ini" is no longer working as expected - can anyone help / verify?

Hi all,

The "AuthHosts=" in the "ultravnc.ini" is no longer working as expected - can anyone help / verify?


For years I had in

ultravnc.ini

entry

AuthHosts=-:+"My External Fixed IP"

(i.e. I want to accept the connection from only one single IP address)

and that worked fine (AFAIK v1.3x) for years but when I installed the new v1.4.0.6 I suddenly got "Rejected" info when I tried to connect to my machine with VNC Server !

It is as if only first entry in the "AuthHosts=" is obeyed... very strange...

I have installed the v1.4.0.8 from the link you posted but, unfortunately I still get:

"Your connection has beed rejected."

message with "ultravnc.ini" entry

AuthHosts=-:+"My Fixed External IP":


Can you please check / verify?

Hi all,

Instead of full fixed IP which is not working the filtering of the 3 starting fileds did the trick (i.e. xxx.yyy.zzz of my "My Fixed External IP")!

AuthHosts=-:+xxx.yyy.zzz:

AuthHosts=-:+"My Fixed External IP": should work
tested with 127.0.0.1 and localhost
Will test it again with an external viewer
