Authentication issues.

Post by sims »

Hi, I'm having some issues getting my UVNC to connect to my home PC from work.

First off I dont have a proxy at work, just a firewall. Found that port 264 is open so I have that as my home listen port.

No router/hub etc on home PC - just windows login and windows firewall.
Home PC = XP SP2
Work PC = XP SP1

home PC
ForceGuest=1
Server set to listen to port 264/264 - setup for MS Login/II
Guest account is enabled

Whenever I try to connect from work I do get the username/pwd prompt and then it denies access due to invalid pwd - now I know the one I'm using is correnct as I use it everyday on my home pc...

any suggestions?

ForceGuest, change registry value 1 to 0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

it solve your issue
because you authenticate with your own username logon, not guest account, right ?
