The Application Failed to Initialize Properly

Post by Kayin »

This is the error I get when I try and run PCHelpWhere or anything related to UltraVNC SC. Or more exactly

The Application Failed to Initialize Properly (0xc00000ba)

This doesn't seem to effect UltraVNC or anything else I have. I haven't really gotten to configure anything at all. I made a custom UVNC SC server, but when I oppened it I got the error message. That prompted me to swtich to PcHelpWare(Well.. that and PCHelpWare seems pretty cool)... Same thing when trying to open PcHelpWare_Viewer.exe.

Works on other computers I have around. Any advice/Solutions or do I have to set it up somewhere a lot more inconvinent? :(

Were you trying to run using the uvnc.com repeater? There have been problems reported using that repeater. Try a direct connection or use the repeater listed [topic=9600]here[/topic].

Most likely your User A/C don't have the Read Access right to the necessary DLL, OCX files.
I know the PHW need MSVCP60.DLL (MS C++ Runtime Library, located at folder c:\windows\system32), please check if you have the Read Access right for this file.

Alternatively, you may switch to another user a/c that having Admin. right, and run PHW again to see the result.

That file msvcp60.dll is sometimes missing in windows 2000 boxes but this will prompt you that the file is missing.. YY is the best guess to a solution..:)
