Connection active but no desktop loads

Post by cammy »

Hi

I have been trying to set up SC and created the exe file with no problems. I had my brother (in a remote location) d/l and run the exe and the pop-up appeared on my screen asking to accept the connection. I did this and at his end it said 'connection active'.

No window popped up/desktop loaded on my machine and I was not able to take control of his pc. I don't know if the connection dropped or what is the problem. I'm running xp and have opened TCP port 5500 on ZoneAlarm.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Cammy

I think I can help since I've recently been through it.

Did you open the viewer in Listen Mode - from ALL programs UVNC

Yep.

It was running in listen mode for port 5500.

Didn't run it from the run command line though but through the programs menu.
